What is Denim Insulation?

Denim insulation, also known as blue jean insulation, is made from recycled post-consumer and post-industrial denim scraps. This sustainable insulation diverts thousands of tons of textile waste from landfills while providing effective thermal and acoustic performance.

Each square foot of denim insulation contains the equivalent of several pairs of recycled jeans, shredded and treated with borate compounds for fire resistance and pest deterrence. Denim insulation achieves R-values of R-3.4 to R-3.7 per inch and offers 30% better sound absorption than traditional fiberglass. It's completely safe to handle without gloves, masks, or protective clothing.
